Cumprimento da Lei / Compliance with the Law
“Não vim destruir a Lei, mas dar-lhe cumprimento”. Mateus 5:17.
Companheiros inúmeros, em rememorando semelhantes palavras do Cristo, decerto, guardarão a ideia fixada simplesmente na confirmação doutrinal do Mestre Divino, ante o ensinamento de Moisés.
A lição, todavia, é mais profunda.
Sem dúvida, para consolidar a excelência da lei mosaica do ponto de vista da opinião, Jesus poderia invocar a ciência e a filosofia, a religião e a história, a política e a ética social, mobilizando a cultura de seu tempo para garfar novos tratados de revelação superior, empunhando o buril da razão ou o azorrague da crítica para chamar os contemporâneos ao cumprimento dos próprios deveres, mas, compreendendo que o amor rege a justiça na Criação Universal, preferiu testemunhar a Lei vigente, plasmando-lhe a grandeza e a exatidão do próprio ser, através da ação renovadora com que marcou a própria rota, na expansão da própria luz.
É por isso que, da Manjedoura simples à Cruz da morte, vemo-Lo no serviço infatigável do bem, empregando a compaixão genuína por ingrediente inalienável da própria mensagem transformadora, fosse subtraindo a Madalena à fúria dos preconceitos de sua época para soerguê-la à dignidade feminina, ou desculpando Simão Pedro, o amigo timorato que abdicava da lealdade à última hora, fosse esquecendo o gesto impensado de Judas, o discípulo enganado, ou buscando Saulo de Tarso, o adversário confesso, para induzir-lhe a sinceridade a mais amplo e seguro aproveitamento da vida.
E é ainda aí, fundamentado nesse programa de ação-predicação, com o serviço ao próximo valorizando-lhe o verbo revelador que a Doutrina Espírita, sem molhar a palavra no fel do pessimismo ou da rebeldia, satisfará corretamente aos princípios estabelecidos, dando de si sem cogitar do próprio interesse, transformando a caridade em mera obrigação para que a justiça não se faça arrogância entre os homens, e elegendo no sacrifício individual pelo bem comum a norma de felicidade legítima para solucionar na melhoria de cada um de nós, o problema de regeneração da Humanidade inteira.

Compliance with the Law
“I did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it”. Matthew 5:17.
Countless companions, in remembering similar words of Christ, will certainly keep the idea fixed simply in the doctrinal confirmation of the Divine Master, before the teaching of Moses.
The lesson, however, is deeper.
Undoubtedly, to consolidate the excellence of the Mosaic law from the point of view of opinion, Jesus could invoke science and philosophy, religion and history, politics and social ethics, mobilizing the culture of his time to forge new treatises on superior revelation, wielding the chisel of reason or the whip of criticism to call contemporaries to the fulfillment of their duties, but, understanding that love governs justice in Universal Creation, preferred to testify to the current Law, shaping its grandeur and exactitude. of the being itself, through the renewing action with which it marked its own route, in the expansion of its own light.
That is why, from the simple Manger to the Cross of death, we see Him in the indefatigable service of good, using genuine compassion as an inalienable ingredient of the transforming message itself, whether it was taking the Magdalene away from the fury of the prejudices of her time to raise her to the feminine dignity, either by excusing Simon Peter, the timid friend who abdicated loyalty at the last minute, either by forgetting the thoughtless gesture of Judas, the deceived disciple, or by seeking out Saul of Tarsus, the confessed adversary, to induce him to the widest sincerity and safe enjoyment of life.
And it is still there, based on this action-predication program, with the service to the next, valuing the revealing verb that the Spiritist Doctrine, without dipping the word in the gall of pessimism or rebellion, will correctly satisfy the established principles, giving of itself without considering their own interest, transforming charity into a mere obligation so that justice does not become arrogance among men, and choosing in the individual sacrifice for the common good the norm of legitimate happiness to solve, in the betterment of each one of us, the problem of regeneration of all Humanity.
