Obsessão / Obsession
Observando-se a mediunidade como sintonia, a obsessão é o equilíbrio de forças inferiores, retratando-se entre si.
Fenômeno de reflexão pura e simples, não ocorre tão-somente dos chamados mortos para os chamados vivos, porque, na essência, muita vez aparece entre os próprios Espíritos encarnados a se subjugarem reciprocamente pelos fios invisíveis da sugestão.
A mente que se dirige a outra cria imagens para fazer-se notada e compreendida, prescindindo da palavra e da ação para insinuar-se, porquanto, ambientando a repetição, atinge o objetivo que demanda, projetando-se sobre aquela que procura influenciar. E, se a mente visada sintoniza com a onda criadora lançada sobre ela, inicia-se vivo circuito de força, dentro do qual a palavra e a ação se incumbem de consolidar a correspondência, formando o círculo de encantamento em que o obsessor e o obsidiado passam a viver, agindo e reagindo um sobre o outro.
Não há, por isto, obsessão unilateral. Toda ocorrência desta espécie se nutre à base de intercâmbio mais ou menos completo. Quanto mais sustentadas as imagens inferiores de um Espírito para outro, em regime de permuta constante, mais profundo o poder da obsessão, de vez que se afastam da justa realidade para o circuito de sombra em que entregam a mútuo fascínio.
É o mesmo que se verifica com a pedra quando em serviço de gravação.
Quanto mais repetida a passagem do buril, mais entranhado o sulco destinado a perpetuar a minudência da imagem.
Lembremo-nos, ainda, do disco comum, em cujas reentrâncias sutis permanecem os sons fixados para repetição à nossa vontade. Muita vez a mente obsidiada se assemelha à chapa de ebonite, arquivando ordens e avisos do obsessor (notadamente durante o sono habitual, quando liberamos os próprios reflexos, sem o controle da nossa consciência de limiar), ordens e avisos que a pessoa obsessa atende, de modo quase automático, qual o instrumento passivo da experiência magnética, no cumprimento de sugestões pós-hipnóticas.
Quanto mais nos rendamos a essa ou àquela ideia, no imo de nós mesmos, com maior força nos convertemos nela, a expressar-lhe os desígnios.
É assim que se formam estranhos desequilíbrios que, em muitas circunstâncias, concretizam moléstia e desalento, aflição e loucura, quando não plasmam a crueldade e a morte.
Toda obsessão começa pelo debuxo vago do pensamento alheio que nos visita, oculto.
Hoje é um pingo de sombra, amanhã linha firme, para, depois, fazer-se um painel vigoroso, do qual assimilamos apelos infelizes que nos aprisionam em turbilhões de trevas.
Urge, pois, que saibamos fugir, desassombrados, aos enganos da inércia, porque o espelho ocioso de nossa vida em sombra pode ser longamente viciado e detido pelas forças do mal que, em nos vampirizando, estendem sobre os outros as teias infernais da miséria e do crime.
Dar novo pasto à mente pelo estudo que eleve e consagrar-se em paz ao serviço incessante é a fórmula ideal para libertar-se de todas as algemas, pois que, na aquisição de bênçãos para o espírito e no auxílio espontâneo à vida que nos cerca, refletiremos sempre a Esfera Superior, avançando, por fim, da cegueira mental para a divina luz da Divina Visão.

Obsession
Observing mediumship as attunement, obsession is the balance of inferior forces, portraying each other.Phenomenon of pure and simple reflection, it does not only occur from the so-called dead to the so-called living, because, in essence, it often appears between the incarnate spirits themselves to subjugate each other by the invisible threads of suggestion.
The mind that addresses itself to another creates images to make itself noticed and understood, dispensing with the word and the action to insinuate itself, because, by setting the repetition, it achieves the objective it demands, projecting itself on the one it seeks to influence. And, if the targeted mind tunes in with the creative wave launched over it, a live circuit of force is initiated, within which the word and the action are responsible for consolidating the correspondence, forming the circle of enchantment in which the obsessor and the obsessed come to live, acting and reacting on each other.
There is, therefore, no one-sided obsession. Every occurrence of this species is nourished on the basis of a more or less complete interchange. The more the inferior images are sustained from one Spirit to another, in a regime of constant exchange, the deeper the power of obsession, once they move away from the just reality to the shadow circuit in which they surrender to mutual fascination.
It is the same as with the stone when in engraving service.
The more often the burin passes, the deeper the groove destined to perpetuate the image's detail.
Let us also remember the common record, in whose subtle recesses the sounds remain fixed for repetition at will. Often the obsessed mind resembles the ebonite plate, filing orders and warnings from the obsessor (notably during habitual sleep, when we release our own reflexes, without the control of our threshold consciousness), orders and warnings that the obsessed person responds to, almost automatically, as the passive instrument of the magnetic experience, in the fulfillment of post-hypnotic suggestions.
The more we surrender to this or that idea, within ourselves, the more forcefully we become it, expressing its designs.
This is how strange imbalances are formed that, in many circumstances, materialize illness and discouragement, affliction and madness, when they do not form cruelty and death.
Every obsession begins with the vague outline of the thoughts of others that visit us, hidden.
Today it is a sliver of shadow, tomorrow a firm line, to then make up a vigorous panel, from which we assimilate unfortunate appeals that imprison us in whirlwinds of darkness.
It is urgent, therefore, that we know how to flee, fearless, from the deceptions of inertia, because the idle mirror of our life in shadow can be long vitiated and detained by the forces of evil that, in vampirizing us, spread the infernal webs of misery and of crime.
Giving new food to the mind through study that elevates and consecrated in peace to incessant service is the ideal formula for freeing oneself from all shackles, since, in acquiring blessings for the spirit and in spontaneously helping the life that surrounds us , we will always reflect the Higher Sphere, advancing, at last, from mental blindness to the divine light of Divine Vision.
