No serviço do Senhor / In the service of the Lord

Cólera e irritação constituem granizo e vento arrasando-te as leiras frágeis.

Leviandade e maledicência, representam enxurro e detritos sufocando-te as melhores promessas.

In the service of the Lord

If you aspire to the title of worker of the Lord, do not forget that the world is an immense field of work for the cultivation of good.

Don't expect facilities on the plantation.
You will, of course, endure obstacles and dangers of every sort in preparation for the coming harvest.

Repair around you.
Sensitivity and susceptibilities are pests and rodent worms, destroying your seed.

Wrath and irritation are hail and wind ravaging your fragile furrows.

Commitments to the shadow symbolize vigorous vines, stifling your efforts.

Indolence and discouragement are parasitic weeds, annihilating your production.

Lightness and slander represent runoff and debris smothering you with the best promises.

Perversity and criticism express aridity and dryness capable of ruining your hope.

Remember, then, that each day is a blessed time to work and do not entrust the hoe of your opportunity to the rust of denial.

Remember that time flies, that everything is transformed and that the Earth itself, where its sphere of action extends, swirls in the middle of Heaven in search of perfect communion with the Great Light.

Do not associate disappointment and sorrow, do not get lost in the stones of the way and do not focus on the thornbush, which serve you by measure to faith and serenity.

If you are candidates to serve with Jesus, let us take Him as our living and incessant pattern, seeking His Will so that our whims are forgotten.

And, basing our activities on the norms that characterized His example, we will happily contemplate the abundant harvest, emerging from the earth's mud, a harvest that will enrich the barn of the heart for Eternal Life with blessings.

Home is the port from which the soul retreats to the high seas of the world and whoever does not carry the ballast of Christian wisdom in his heart will hardly escape partial or total shipwreck.

Emmanuel Spirit, from the book Alvorada do Reino, psychographed by Chico Xavier.
