Fora do lar, é possível o sossego na consciência, distribuindo as sobras do dinheiro ou do tempo, aliás, com o mérito de quem sabe entesourar a beneficência.
Nada difícil suportar o agressor desconhecido que raramente conseguiremos rever.
Nenhum sacrifício em amparar o doente, largado na rua, a quem não nos vinculamos em compromisso direto. Em casa, porém, somos constrangidos ao exercício da assistência constante.
É aí, no reduto doméstico, por trás das paredes que nos isolam do aplauso público, que a Providência Divina nos experimenta a madureza mental ou o proveito dos bons conselhos que ministramos.
Nós que, de vez em vez, desembolsamos sorrindo pequena parcela de recursos amoedados, em benefício dos outros, estamos incessantemente convocados a sustentar os familiares que precisam de nós, não apenas mobilizando possibilidades materiais, mas também apoio e compreensão, disciplina e exemplo, resguardando as forças que nos asseguram felicidade.
Anseias por encargos sublimes, queres a convivência das entidades superiores, sonhas com a posse de dons luminescentes, suspiras pela ascensão espiritual!…
Contempla, no entanto, o espaço estreito que te serve de moradia e lembra-te da criança na escola.
Em cada companheiro que partilha a consanguinidade, temos um livro de lições que, às vezes, nos detém o passo por tempo enorme, no esforço da repetência. Cada um deles nos impele a desenvolver determinadas virtudes; num, a paciência, noutro, a lealdade, e ainda em outros, o equilíbrio e a abnegação, a firmeza e a brandura!
A pretexto de auxiliar a Humanidade, não fujas do cadinho fervente de lutas em que a vida te colocou sob o telhado em que respiras. Ainda mesmo ao preço de todos os valores da existência física, refaze milhares de vezes, as tuas demonstrações de humildade e serviço, perante as criaturas que te cercam, ostentando os títulos de pai ou mãe, esposo ou esposa, filhos ou irmãos, porque é de tua vitória moral junto deles que depende a tua admissão definitiva, entre os amados que te esperam, nas vanguardas de luz, em perpetuidade de regozijo na Família Maior.

Outside the home, peace of mind is possible, distributing the leftovers of money or time, in fact, with the merit of those who know how to treasure beneficence.
It is not difficult to bear the unknown aggressor that we will rarely be able to see again.
No sacrifice in supporting the sick, left on the street, to whom we are not bound in direct commitment. At home, however, we are constrained to provide constant assistance.
It is there, in the domestic stronghold, behind the walls that isolate us from public applause, that Divine Providence shows us mental maturity or the benefit of the good advice we give.
We who, from time to time, disburse a small portion of money, smiling, for the benefit of others, are incessantly called upon to support the family members who need us, not only mobilizing material possibilities, but also support and understanding, discipline and example, safeguarding the forces that assure us happiness.
You yearn for sublime tasks, you want the coexistence of superior entities, you dream of possessing luminescent gifts, you sigh for spiritual ascent!...
Contemplate, however, the narrow space that serves as your home and remember the child at school.
In each companion who shares the consanguinity, we have a book of lessons that, at times, hold us back for a long time, in the effort of repetition. Each of them urges us to develop certain virtues; in one, patience, in another, loyalty, and in still others, balance and self-denial, firmness and mildness!
On the pretext of helping Humanity, do not run away from the boiling crucible of struggles in which life has placed you under the roof you breathe. Even at the price of all the values of physical existence, repeat thousands of times your demonstrations of humility and service, before the creatures that surround you, bearing the titles of father or mother, husband or wife, children or brothers, because it is Your definitive admission depends on your moral victory among them, among the loved ones who await you, in the vanguards of light, in perpetuity of rejoicing in the Greater Family.
