Com a precisa madureza do raciocínio, compreenderá o homem que toda a sua existência é um grande conjunto de negócios espirituais e que a vida, em si, não passa de ato religioso permanente, com vistas aos deveres divinos que nos prendem a Deus.
Por enquanto, o mundo apenas exige testemunhos de fé das pessoas indicadas por detentoras de mandato essencialmente religioso.
Os católicos romanos rodeiam de exigências os sacerdotes, desvirtuando-lhes o apostolado. Os protestantes, na maioria, atribuem aos ministros evangélicos as obrigações mais completas do culto. Os espiritistas reclamam de doutrinadores e médiuns as supremas demonstrações de caridade e pureza, como se a luz e a verdade da Nova Revelação pudessem constituir exclusivo patrimônio de alguns cérebros falíveis.
Urge considerar, porém, que o testemunho cristão, no campo transitório da luta humana, é dever de todos os homens, indistintamente.
Cada criatura foi chamada pela Providência a determinado setor de trabalhos espirituais na Terra.
O comerciante está em negócios de suprimento e de fraternidade.
O administrador permanece em negócios de orientação, distribuição e responsabilidade.
O servidor foi trazido a negócios de obediência e edificação.
As mães e os pais terrestres foram convocados a negócios de renúncia, exemplificação e devotamento.
O carpinteiro está fabricando colunas para o templo vivo do lar.
O cientista vive fornecendo equações de progresso que melhorem o bem-estar do mundo.
O cozinheiro trabalha para alimentar o operário e o sábio.
Todos os homens vivem na Obra de Deus, valendo-se dela para alcançarem, um dia, a grandeza divina. Usufrutuários de patrimônios que pertencem ao Pai, encontram-se no campo das oportunidades presentes, negociando com os valores do Senhor.
Em razão desta verdade, meu amigo, vê o que fazes e não te esqueças de subordinar teus desejos a Deus, nos negócios que por algum tempo te forem confiados no mundo.

Spiritists claim from indoctrinators and mediums the supreme demonstrations of charity and purity, as if the light and truth of the New Revelation could constitute the exclusive patrimony of some fallible brains.
It is urgent to consider, however, that Christian witness, in the transitory field of human struggle, is the duty of all men, without distinction.
Each creature was called by Providence to a certain sector of spiritual work on Earth.
The merchant is in supply and fraternity business.
The administrator remains in the business of guidance, distribution and responsibility.
The servant was brought into the business of obedience and edification.
Earthly mothers and fathers were summoned to businesses of renunciation, exemplification and devotion.
The carpenter is making columns for the living temple of the home.
The scientist lives by providing equations of progress that improve the well-being of the world.
The cook works to feed the worker and the sage.
All men live in the Work of God, making use of it to reach, one day, divine greatness. Usufructuaries of patrimonies that belong to the Father, they find themselves in the field of present opportunities, negotiating with the values of the Lord.
On account of this truth, my friend, see what you do and do not forget to subordinate your desires to God, in the affairs that for a time are entrusted to you in the world.
