Erguer e ajudar / Lift and help
“E ele, dando-lhe a mão, a levantou…” – Atos, 9:41.
Muito significativa a lição dos Atos, quando Pedro restaura a irmã Dorcas para a vida.
Não se contenta o apóstolo em pronunciar palavras lindas aos seus ouvidos, renovando-lhe as forças gerais.
Dá-lhe as mãos para que se levante.
O ensinamento é dos mais simbólicos.
Observamos muitos companheiros a se reerguerem para o conhecimento, para a alegria e para a virtude, banhados pela divina claridade do Mestre, e que podem levantar milhares de criaturas para a Esfera Superior.
Para isso, porém, não bastará a predicação pura e simples.
O sermão é, realmente, um apelo sublime, do qual não prescindiu o próprio Cristo, mas não podemos esquecer que o Celeste Amigo, se doutrinou no monte, igualmente no monte multiplicou os pães para o povo esfaimado, restabelecendo-lhe o ânimo.
Nós, os que nos achávamos mortos na ignorância e que hoje, por acréscimo da Misericórdia Infinita, já podemos desfrutar algumas bênçãos de luz, precisamos estender o serviço de socorro aos demais.
Não nos desincumbiremos, porém, da tarefa salvacionista, simplesmente pronunciando alguns discursos admiráveis.
É imprescindível usar nossas mãos nas obras do bem.
Esforço dos braços significa atividade pessoal. Sem o empenho de nossas energias, na construção do Reino Espiritual com o Cristo, na Terra, debalde alinharemos observações excelentes em torno das preciosidades da Boa Nova ou das necessidades da redenção humana.
Encontrando o nosso irmão caído na estrada, façamos o possível por despertá-lo com os recursos do verbo transformador, mas não olvidemos que, para trazê-lo de novo à vida construtiva, será indispensável, segundo a inesquecível lição de Pedro, estender-lhe fraternalmente as nossas mãos.

Lift and help
"And he, giving her his hand, lifted her up..." - Acts, 9:41.
The lesson of Acts, when Peter restores Sister Dorcas to life, is very significant.
The apostle is not content to pronounce beautiful words in his ears, renewing his general strength.
He gives her hands to get up.
The teaching is one of the most symbolic.
We have seen many companions rise to knowledge, joy and virtue, bathed in the divine clarity of the Master, and who can lift thousands of creatures to the Upper Sphere.
For this, however, pure and simple predication will not suffice.
The sermon is, indeed, a sublime appeal, which Christ himself did not do without, but we cannot forget that the Heavenly Friend, taught himself on the mountain, also on the mountain multiplied the loaves for the hungry people, restoring their spirits.
We, those who thought we were dead in ignorance and who today, by the addition of Infinite Mercy, can already enjoy some blessings of light, we need to extend the service of help to others.
We will not, however, discharge the salvationist task by simply delivering some admirable speeches.
It is essential to use our hands in the works of good.
Arm effort means personal activity. Without the commitment of our energies, in the construction of the Spiritual Kingdom with the Christ, on Earth, in vain we will align excellent observations around the gems of the Good News or the needs of human redemption.
Finding our brother fallen on the road, let us do our best to awaken him with the resources of the transforming verb, but let us not forget that, in order to bring him back to constructive life, it will be essential, according to Peter's unforgettable lesson, to extend to him fraternally our hands.
