Inimigos que não devemos acalentar
Defende o mundo íntimo contra aqueles adversários ocultos que não devemos acalentar.
Decerto, dói-te a ofensa do agressor que te não percebe as intenções elevadas, contudo, a intolerância, a asilar-se por escorpião venenoso, em teu pensamento, é o inimigo terrível que te induz às trevas abismais da vingança.
Indubitavelmente, a crítica impensada do irmão que te menoscaba os propósitos sadios dilacera-te a sensibilidade, espancando-te a alegria, entretanto, a vaidade, a enrodilhar-se no teu coração por víbora peçonhenta, é o inimigo lamentável que te inclina à inutilidade e ao desânimo.
Em verdade, a calúnia do amigo perturbado lança fogo ao santuário de teus ideais, subtraindo-te a confiança, todavia, a crueldade que se refugia em teu ser por tigre invisível de intemperança e discórdia é o inimigo perigoso que te sugere a adesão ao crime.
Efetivamente, o desprezo que te foi lançado em rosto pelo companheiro infeliz é golpe mortal abrindo-te chagas de aflição nos tecidos sutis da alma, no entanto, o egoísmo a ocultar-se em teu peito por chacal intangível de ignorância e ferocidade, é o inimigo temível que te arroja à frustração.
Não são os flagelos do mundo exterior os elementos que nos deprimem, mas sim os opositores ocultos, conhecidos pelos mais diversos nomes, quais sejam orgulho e maldade, tristeza e preguiça, desespero e ingratidão, que perseveram conosco.
Amemos aos inimigos externos que nos desafiam à prática do bem, ao exercício da renúncia, ao trabalho da paciência e à realização da caridade, mas tenhamos cautela contra os sicários escondidos em nós mesmos que, expressando sentimentos indignos de nosso conhecimento e de nossa evolução, nos escravizam à angustia, e nos algemam à dor, enclausurando-nos a vida em miséria e perturbação.

Enemies we shouldn't cherish
It defends the intimate world against those hidden adversaries that we must not cherish.
Certainly, you are hurt by the offense of the aggressor who does not understand your lofty intentions, however, intolerance, taking refuge with a poisonous scorpion, in your thinking, is the terrible enemy that leads you to the abysmal darkness of revenge.
Undoubtedly, the thoughtless criticism of the brother who belittles your healthy intentions tears your sensitivity, beating your joy, meanwhile, vanity, coiling itself in your heart like a venomous viper, is the lamentable enemy that inclines you to uselessness and to discouragement.
Truly, the slander of the disturbed friend sets fire to the sanctuary of your ideals, taking away your trust, however, the cruelty that takes refuge in your being by the invisible tiger of intemperance and discord is the dangerous enemy that suggests to you the adhesion to the crime. .
Indeed, the contempt that was thrown in your face by the unfortunate companion is a mortal blow, opening you wounds of affliction in the subtle tissues of the soul, however, the selfishness hiding in your chest by an intangible jackal of ignorance and ferocity, is the fearsome enemy that throws you to frustration.
It is not the scourges of the external world that depress us, but the hidden opponents, known by the most diverse names, namely pride and evil, sadness and laziness, despair and ingratitude, that persevere with us.
Let us love the external enemies who challenge us to do good, to exercise self-denial, to work with patience and to carry out charity, but let us be careful against the hired assassins hidden in ourselves who, expressing feelings unworthy of our knowledge and our evolution, they enslave us to anguish, and handcuff us to pain, cloistering our lives in misery and disturbance.
